A Decade of Music.
ARTHM builds lasting relationships between communities and classical music — from the classroom to the concert hall. Our programmes are designed to deepen access to classical music and build audiences that endure.

Concerts
What it is
Small-format home concerts designed for close and personal engagement with music. Intimate gatherings where the barrier between artist and audience dissolves entirely.
Who it reaches
Engaged listeners from across Hyderabad — people who come not for spectacle, but for proximity to the music itself.
Why it matters
Hyderabad has no purpose-built concert hall. No resident programming that treats listening as civic practice. These concerts address that absence directly.
Where it stands
Active and expanding. A decade of independent programming by Timothy Marthand, now formalised under the ARTHM Foundation.

Academy & Private Lessons
1,000+ students trainedWhat it is
From foundational technique to advanced performance preparation — sustained, one-on-one and small-group instruction rooted in rigour, not shortcuts.
Who it reaches
Young beginners to advanced practitioners across Hyderabad. Timothy also serves as faculty at IIT Hyderabad.
Why it matters
A city that listens well needs musicians who play well. Serious musical education creates the performers, the teachers, and the listeners of the next generation.
Where it stands
Active and ongoing, led by Timothy Marthand.
Music Appreciation Courses
1,000+ participantsWhat it is
Guided encounters with masterworks — the music heard closely and discussed openly. Not passive lectures, but structured listening.
Who it reaches
Adults, students, and anyone willing to listen with intention. No prior musical training required.
Why it matters
Building an audience requires more than access — it requires understanding. These courses give listeners a way in, not through simplification, but through attention.
Where it stands
Active and ongoing.
